Melanie Oliver is Senior Curator and Programs Manager at The Dowse Art Museum in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand.
Oliver managed the Wellington project space Enjoy (2004–2007) and in 2008 curated a project for the One Day Sculpture series of public art commissions. She has curated freelance projects for RAMP Gallery, ST PAUL St Gallery and RM Gallery.
In addition, Oliver has worked independently as a writer and curator, developing projects such as Social Interface at Ramp Gallery (2012), Justene Williams and Sean Grattan, St Paul St Gallery (2012) and most recently has co-curated a project with Laura Preston for the Liverpool Biennial 2012.
She is currently a PhD candidate in Curatorial Practice at MADA.
