Clothilde Bullen is a Wardandi (Nyoongar)/Yamatji woman from Perth, Western Australia. She has an extensive career in Indigenous visual arts including curating a number of exhibitions and publishing extensively on Aboriginal art.
She was the former Curator of Indigenous Art at the Art Gallery of Western Australia for over a decade, and prior to that was the manager of a commercial Indigenous gallery.
Her most recent exhibition, Darkness on the Edge of Town, opened at Artbank in Sydney in August. She is currently curating When the Sky Fell: Legacies of the 1967 Referendum at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, opening in July.
In 2014, Clothilde was a participant in the British Council Accelerate Leadership program, and will commence as the Curator of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art at the Museum of Contemporary Art at the end of January.
